I went to Graduate Fashion Week in London.

Our stand was a bit weak at the beginning of the week,
we got permission to tweak on Wednesday and much
more footfall through the stall.
I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of commissions and
lots of contacts were made.

It is OFFICIAL I am a graduate BA Fashion (Hons), my portfolio is now on the graduate search engine. Art Threads.

Tuesday 5 June 2012

It has been an amazing 3 years and now I am looking forward to the next stage of my career.

My work this year has pushed my boundaries, some of the ideas at first seemed off the wall, design body conscious clothes using Japanese origami as the start point. Yet the final 7 pieces are lovely and I am very happy to be able to show them.
Sketches for the lace dress "HALEY".

Final Show for BA Fashion
This was the dress rehearsal, the first time my beautiful models had ever seen on been on a catwalk. You all did magnificently, I was a very happy designer.

The dress is "HALEY"
Photographed by the fantastic Corinna Fochler and modelled by the stunning Coco.
On location at Mount Wise Lido, Plymouth.

The piece is "TORIE"
Photographed by Tim Glass and modelled by the elegant and sophisticated Victoria.
Otoshiana Twist Dress
Photographed by James and modelled by the magnificent Charlotte.
Maxi Otoshiana Dress
Photographed by me and modelled by the beautiful and glorious Liz.

I have finished my Final Year and the culmination of 3 years work walked down the catwalk on the 24th May. Got to be honest did not see the collection walk from front of stage, but the backstage view was OK.
My models were amazing, they had never even been on the catwalk before and they rocked it out.

Busy.....

Have started the Top Year for a BA and it is full on....and I am loving it.
As with all things in this world we can't have everything, there are things that we as a class recognise need to be done and done asap to have a great year.
Trouble is it is the same people sticking their heads into the firing-line everytime.
Everyone should feel and have a sense of ownership of this year.
Enough ranting....
Been CADing and thanks to my own CAD fairy I feel I am getting more creative, so,
here are some of the drawings that won't be taken forward, you will have to wait for the collection.
