Swish Plymouth
27th March 2010, three of us from the first year spent the day in a giant marquee, representing the College. It was a fun but tiring day, we spent most of it manipulating XXL cotton tee-shirts into other garments.
I really love what you did to the superdrug T-Shirt! its completely transformed! You have inspired me to have a go at recycling some of my old clothes! well done Tre!
It is amazing what you can do with some shearing elastic and a sewing machine. If you want to try this at home, load the bobbin with the elastic and then machine on the wrong side of the garment. So.. be careful to mark it up well on the reverse side before you start and remember the thread from the carriage will be showing on the right side, so match-up the colours carefully. Single biggest piece of advice, let the machine do the work, do not feed it through.
